Fewer than 600 examples of the Z4 M Coupes were reportedly produced for the UK market between 2006 and 2008, and How Many Left documents that ~470 Coupes and Roadsters are registered on UK roads as of 2026.
This example is in Black Sapphire Metallic (475) and was optioned with rear Park Distance Control sensors. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights with concealed washers, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, and M badging.
The 19″ CSL-style wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, and a Bilstein B12 Pro suspension kit has been installed. Stopping power is provided by ventilated and cross-drilled disc brakes at each corner, and the Z4 M was equipped with a revised steering rack unique to the Z4 M Coupe as well as Dynamic Stability Control.
The car’s MOT is valid through 17 February, 2027.
The right-hand-drive cockpit is trimmed in Black Nappa leather along with Piano Black accents. It features heated power-adjustable sport seats, driver seat position memory, cruise control, automatic climate control, a BMW Business CD stereo, and a CD changer.

With the rod bearings and VANOS believed to be original, has there been any known engine issues, unusual noises, VANOS faults or noticeable oil consumption crop up?

gents - Ruben (our junior) is running this listing and currently travelling back from a weekend at the Nurburgring (where he did a 9 minute lap in his Golf) and also Spa - he has sent me this update - thank you, James
Hi @Tomb10 — the rod bearings have not been done. They are approaching the point where they will need attention, but BMW advise replacement at between 75,000 and 90,000 miles, so the car is still comfortably within that margin. The VANOS is the same story, there is no fixed BMW replacement interval for it, but the accepted wisdom on the S54 is a clean or rebuild at around 80,000 to 100,000 miles, and a properly done rebuild should then last a further 80,000 or so. @Dan996m — thank you for your question, and my apologies for the delay. The car comes with full service history and has been well maintained from new. I had thought the paperwork was already uploaded, so I will get it on the listing first thing tomorrow. It's possible that there was an error with the uploading system but we should have checked - sorry about that. Thank you both very much for your questions ! Ruben

Cool to see a UK Z4 M on here, I like the look of the wheels, no idea on handling. Black over grey is a miss for me though.

@RustyTruck These cars have the earliest low fuel warning light of any car I have ever owned. I swear mine comes on when I am just below a quarter of a tank.
Beautiful car, these things are a blast to drive. I agree with everyone, they should have came with the CSL wheels, they are the best!

Curious to see what it brings in the UK compaired to the US market. It's a Beauty...
Aug 26, 2026 · 22:22
Definitely gonna need a driving video with that intake...
Aug 26, 2026 · 21:56
I do use the 19s for the track...
Aug 26, 2026 · 21:55
@Banango agree with your comments on the wheel. I both CSL 19' w/ Michelin Pilot Sport 4s and stock set of 18" with Continental Extreme Contact Plus. The 19s tend to tramline, 18s provide the better ride. Darn, another M with the tank on reserve :-(
Aug 26, 2026 · 21:31
That makes sense. I can’t remember what size wheels I had on my Z4 M coupe. The CSL style do look great though. Cheers.
Aug 26, 2026 · 21:15
@Vanace 19" wheels do not suit the car dynamically. We have two of these cars and have tried a variety of wheels including these. We have a pair of E46 M3s as well, so many sets of wheels that fit. The 19" "CSL" wheels ride harsher and provide no benefit unless you happen to like how they look. This is in many opinions (including ours) the best sports car to wear the M badge, and the factory did get the dynamics largely right for basic street use. Even (in fact especially) with major, tuneable suspension mods - we have them on three of these cars cars - the 19" wheels and corollary lower profile tires do not feel best on road (let alone UK roads) or track.
Aug 26, 2026 · 20:40
BMW should have put these wheels as standard equipment from the factory!
